ABOUT ME
I desire for people to know that they are loved, worthy, and welcomed to the table. That's why I'm a social worker--I'm all about finding the goal in the rockiest of situations.
I'm a twenty something girl, former insomniac, living the post-grad life. I left my hometown and family in Northeast Georgia for a job in Central Lower Alabama. I don't know what will be next, and I definitely don't have it all together, but I'm trusting the Lord in leading me where I need to be.
The name {an imperfect peach} comes from being born and raised a Georgia peach. I have a strong core and a sweet, soft exterior. I have my fair share of bumps, bruises and blemishes, and I'm far from being a perfect, juicy peach. Regardless, the Lord continues to work through my imperfections and struggle, to refine me and glorify Him. That's why I'm here: to share His goodness, welcome you to the potluck, share my heart, and enjoy the journey.
A few tidbits about me....
I love books and see them as incredible portals of knowledge and adventure. I believe that Y'all is the epitome of inclusive language. Seriously. I believe that early mornings and sunrises are a beautiful reflection of the Lord's love. I love to intercede for others. Music is soul food, from classic rock to indie acoustic, to worship in a small room. Purple is my most favorite color; I've come a long way since my elementary love of lime green and periwinkle purple. I craft like no other when I have the time and love finding projects to sew. If I wasn't a social worker I'd be an event planner or a dance instructor. I'm a firm believer in backroads being the beautiful backbone of America. Adventuring in the great outdoors is second nature. Saturdays are for college football and yelling GO DAWGS! and Sundays are for Sabbath. I sob (joyful and thankful sobs) through Hebrews way too often-- it hits me hard every time.
All glory belong to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.
So cool that you go to the University of Georgia! I grew up not too far from there and might even be attending in the next year or so, depending on where my college plans take me! Go dawgs!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Oh how I love UGA and the wonderful Classic City! It's not all parties and football like they say...well maybe they're being a bit truthful on football! There is a little bit of everything and a place for everyone here. If you would ever like any info on organizations or anything at all let me know! I'm here to help! Go Dawgs!
